Research & Innovation

Patents

Building awareness of intellectual property — patents, copyrights, and academic innovation — so BACE’s teaching and research ideas can be protected and shared responsibly.

Innovation & IPR

Patents & Intellectual Property

At Bhagwan Aadinath College of Education (BACE), innovation is encouraged in pedagogy, learning resources, and educational technology. The Patents / IPR desk under the R&D Cell sensitises faculty and students to intellectual property rights, supports early-stage idea documentation, and helps explore formal protection pathways where an invention or creative work warrants it. Patent filings, when undertaken, are recorded as part of the institution’s research and innovation portfolio.

Awareness & Sensitisation

Sessions on intellectual property rights (IPR), patents, copyrights, and academic integrity for faculty and students.

Innovation Mentoring

Guidance for converting classroom innovations, teaching aids, and education-technology ideas into protectable IP.

Documentation Support

Assistance in prior-art understanding, disclosure drafting readiness, and institutional recording of IP activities.

Ethics & Compliance

Emphasis on originality, plagiarism avoidance, and responsible use of research data and creative works.

From Idea to Protection

01

Idea Capture

Faculty / student innovators document the teaching aid, process, software concept, or educational product idea.

02

R&D Screening

The Research & Development Cell screens novelty, usefulness for education, and readiness for IPR discussion.

03

Advisory Review

The Research Advisory Committee may review strategic fit, ethics, and next steps for protection or publication.

04

Formal Filing Path

Where appropriate, innovators are guided toward professional patent / design / copyright filing routes with proper institutional records.

Important Note

Patentability depends on novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability under applicable Indian IP law. Not every academic idea is filed as a patent; many contributions are better shared as publications, copyrighted teaching materials, or open educational resources. The R&D Cell helps choose the right path.
